What age do I need to be to drive a Caterham? |
| Answer: | Our insurers specify that they will only cover drivers over 25yrs and under 70yrs. So while some will just have to wait, to the others I can only say sorry – it’s not our decision. | |

What is the Caterham like to drive? |
| Answer: | Exhilarating fun; it has been described as a cross between a go-kart and a motor-cycle. There is none of the insulation of the driver from the road that you find in a modern car. They are, however, very easy to drive, provided that you are accustomed to a clutch and manual gearbox. Male and female drivers across our permitted age range have had no problems and have all enjoyed the experience immensely. | |

These cars look very small and open, are they safe? |
| Answer: | Any vehicle is only as safe as its driver. While the Caterham 7 does not have some of the latest safety features such as ABS, electronic traction control, crumple zones and airbags, it does have unrivalled responsiveness and agility. | |

Aren't Caterhams very small; will I be able to fit in? |
| Answer: | Caterham 7 s are small and the regular 7 has a very snug cockpit, however, we have opted for the SV version which has three inches more width and length. Getting in and out, especially with the hood up, does need a certain degree of agility. To date, we've had more than one 6'5" guy who've had to pull the seat forward a little. We did find a guy at 6'8" and had to admit that he was too big! If in doubt contact us. | |
