FAQs
What if it rains? Print E-mail
Answer:

All our cars have full weather kit – roof and sidescreens, but we still recommend the warm, wind and waterproof jacket.

Can I hire a car for a week-end or a longer? Print E-mail
Answer:

Certainly, for a longer tour of Scotland it would be ideal. But be aware that with two people on board, luggage capacity is minimal. Also be aware that driving on a busy motorway is not a lot of fun when you are sitting so low, so plan to take the scenic routes.

Must I have a clean licence? Print E-mail
Answer:

Our insurers insist on no more than 6 points. Just take care not to add any when you take one of our cars out. Please ensure you bring both parts of your driving licence.

What about the planet? Print E-mail
Answer:

At first sight it might appear that what we do isn't exactly environmentally friendly, given that our cars use petrol.

But firstly our negative impact is kept to a minimum: our cars employ the latest technology to maximise economy and reduce pollution to a minimum. Drivers who use our cars to go touring rather than their own are not adding to total fuel use. Where we have checked fuel consumption over mixed driving conditions we have achieved 42 - 43mpg.

Secondly, by adding to the wide range of exciting outdoor activities here in Perthshire, we believe that our significant positive contibution is in helping to attract more people to their "own backyard" for their breaks instead of them jetting half-way round the world in search of holiday thrills. Even one passenger's share of a jumbo-jet's fuel would power a Caterham for an awful long way.
