The driver

Hire Rates

Daily rate:  £160.00 (collection and return same day, times as required). A surcharge may be made for late return after agreed time.
Included mileage is 150 miles per day. Additional miles will be charged at 50p / mile.

Insurance

Comprehensive insurance is included in the standard rate. Due to the nature of these cars, our insurers apply a £1,000 excess on all claims for which the hirer is responsible.

CDR

We can offer collision damage reduction of excess to £250 (against accidental damage only, not wilful damage or theft) for £25 / day, payable at time of collection.

Booking

To make a booking or enquire about availability, please complete our enquiry form. We will contact you at a time convenient to you. Please read carefully our terms and conditions. A non-refundable booking fee of £50 is payable when a booking is made. This is deducted from the amount due at the start of hire.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are available for one day’s hire. The same driver restrictions apply, including booking and security bond deposit.

Security Bond Deposit

This £1,000 is payable in addition to the hire rate on collection of the car. It is fully refundable, on return of the car, less any additional charges that have arisen from additional mileage, damage, loss of accessories or refuelling costs

Payment by approved credit or debit card is preferred. Cash can be accepted only by prior arrangement and cheques only if received 14 days in advance of hire date.

A word before you set out, if you’re new to Caterhams or Perthshire.

As you may already be aware if you’ve driven to Perth, the A9 and A90 are littered with speed cameras. And they aren’t just confined to those roads either.

But while we can usually escape them on the many minor roads around here, other greater dangers lurk for the unwary. The quiet narrow winding roads may be relatively free of speed traps but at least Gatsos don’t stand in the middle of the road or suddenly appear though a hedge or gate. Tractors, sheep cattle and deer often do, so be aware.

Look out for logging trucks and agricultural vehicles too – it’s often the reason why the road is there and they often drive as if they own it – down the middle. THINK about what might be around that next corner and be prepared for it.

Yes of course we’d like our cars back in one piece but even more we’d like our customers back intact too.

Please don’t take our cars off-road – they’re not made for it. We can recommend several activity centres which specialise in Landrovers and Quadbikes. You are not permitted to take our cars on any type or race track. We recommend Knockhill for race track driving experiences where they provide a selection of track-ready cars.

The hirer should be fully aware that the Caterham 7 is NOT equipped with modern safety devices such as:

• ABS – which prevents wheels locking and subsequent skidding under hard braking in slippery conditions.
• Airbags – which provide some protection in minor collisions.
• Any form of electronic traction or stability control.

Enjoy your day in the Caterham but please STAY SENSIBLE and STAY LEGAL.
