This route heads west through Crieff, Comrie, Crianlarich, Tyndrum, Loch Awe and on to Loch Linnhe on the west coast, returning by dramatic Glencoe. (or you can carry on to Oban or Fort William)
You'll take the quieter back roads to Crieff and Comrie. At St.Fillans you can opt for the single-track along the south bank to Lochearnhead before rejoing the road to Crianlarich and Tyndrum by Glen Dochart, Glen Ogle and Strath Fillan. Along Glen Lochy, Loch Awe (loch and village) and through the Pass of Brander to the bridge over the mouth of Loch Etive at Connel. You'll follow the banks of Loch Linnhe with views over the Firth of Lorne to Mull and Ardnamuchan then turn inland to Ballachulish and on to Glencoe, across Rannoch Moor and pass through Bridge of Orchy on your way back to Tyndrum and retrace your steps to Perth.
