This route heads south and east to the Kingdom of Fife.
You'll enjoy quiet roads through rolling fertile farmland and rural villages on your way to the Peat Inn where you may choose to stop for an excellent lunch. Travelling on south towards Elie, you'll have great views over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and the Lothians. Follow the coast east to Crail but do stop and explore at least one of these pretty little fishing villages with quaint harbour and lovely beaches. Heading north you visit St. Andrews, university town and the home of golf. Return along the Firth of Tay with views across to Dundee, along the estuary and back to Perth. |
